That's a very good deal on those in very good condition.
How did you like those and what other JBL could they compare with? What did you replace them with?

Short of a big-box 43xx 3-or-4-way or 44xx butt-cheek studio monitor, there's not a lot better than these if you have enough power to offer them. I have two pair though my 4345s have the L7s in retirement at the moment. :thmbsp:
Are the mids and woofers rubber surrounded? What to do if they need replacing? I've seen replacement foams suggested for them from the usual sources.

I have seen 3 different sets pass through and they just never did it for me. They are real picky about placement (with those side firing woofers), and I could never get them dialed in. My 4430's are the exact opposite, you could put them on top of the house and they would still sound great.

They seem to have the same tweeter as my 4406, which sounded amazing!

The side-firing 12-inch has a foam surround. The other are butyl rubber. I've heard of some separation in the rubber surrounds but only specific to the L3 which I alway attributed to the 708G-1 being asked to perform outside its intended range. I have two pair of L7, one pair of L5, a pair of L1, and a pair of L20T all with butyl surrounds and no problems on any of them. The same woofer in the L3 is used in the L5 and L7. Of course those incidents could be abuse, too!
