Which speakers will better match a sansui g 9000. The jbl l 65 jubal or the klipsch heresy or the klipsch quartet? I listen to rock jazz and blues.

Jubal. I'm sure lots of others will disagree, especially Klipsch fans, who will go for the Quartet.

I have owned Jubals and Heresies, and the Jubal will walk all over the Heresy, IMHO.

I have no knowledge of the Quartet.

Thanls for the advice so far. I think its between the jubal and the quartet. ANY MORE OPINIONS?

I had Herseys and sold them in a couple of weeks, buzzsaw high mids, I have lliked all all the late 70s and 80s high end JBL I have heard, Quartets are supposed to be nice too. I don't think you'll go wrong with either.

Stock Heresey's will get tossed in favor of the Jubal's, that being said, you should hear my Heresey's that have the Crites upgrades. They are constantly picked as sounding better by visitors than most of my collection that includes 4410's, 4311B's, AR-11's, etc.

The Klipsch are more efficient, the Jubals more "musical". The Jubal will have nuch better resale and are a wonderful speaker to listen to for extended periods. I vote Jubals.

Get the L65s off the ground so the tweeter is closer to ear-level and you'll like them even more.

I own a pr of the Jubals and a pr of Cornwalls and they are very different Hard to compare they both do time with Accuphase and a Pioneer 1980. Considering you are using a 9000 I would go Jubals in a heartbeat

Well, I've had both the Quartet and the Jubals before and even though the Jubals are worth more and have better drivers and so on I thought the Quartets were all around a better sounding speaker (isn't that all that really matters??). Anyway, I wouldn't get caught up in the prestige of owning the JBLs as the Quartets have tighter bass, highs that don't pierce your ears and a smoother response. Most certainly a more versatile speaker. If I was a collector I would rather have the Jubals but for everyday listening the Quartets win.

Never heard Jubals, but I love my Quartets. No mods on them yet, but they will reveal any weakness in your amp (and source). I would guess that the Sansui G 9000 will get along just fine with them.

I've owned...

Quartets and L100s. The Jubals are on my short list to acquire if I can find a deal on them. I thought the Quartets were ok sounding, but I sold them in favo of the L100s. I also have ADS L710 in that same rotation in my BR system. I preferred the ADS to the Klipsch as well. But talk about 3 pretty much completely different types of sound...
