JBL Paragon...Parted out...

Obviously someone who didn't do his homework and in the end will not get what a complete Paragon is worth. Even if the cabinet needs restoration it would of sold for more than the individual parts will. Parting out common/run of the mill audio equipment that has major issues is one thing but from what I'v seen when you get to the real collectable/valuable equipment like a Paragon this isn't the smart thing to do. It's more or less a fashionable Ebay idea that you can maximise your profits making the buyers pay a premium to buy and put all the parts back togeather again. Others are hung up on shipping large items, anyone looking to buy a Paragon the shipping cost is chump change. I'v purchased/sold large heavy items and it isn't the big deal people make it out to be if your willing to put the effort into it. For some Ebay sellers this is there easy way out and in the end they don't make the money they could of if they sold items complete.

For that woofer to be water stained like it is, the cabinet either has extensive water damage or wreaks of cat pee. In either case, parting was a viable option, and all said and done the components will bring close to the same money without the smelly or damaged cabinet.
