Jensen RP-103 vs. RP-103"S" Horn Tweeter: Any Difference?

Hello all - I have a Jensen RP-103S tweeter. I notice that Jensen also made a RP-103 without the "S" suffix. Does anyone know what the "S" stands for?

Mine came from a Fisher Console, but now that I look, I see that I was mistaken about the last letter. My pair are P8RX

Mark is right, "s" was used by Jensen to denote the models it made for Heathkit. A Jensen P15LL becomes a P15LS, an RP302 becomes RP302S and so on. Same driver though, absolutely no difference. Regards,Andrew.

I've seen certain Jensen tweeters go for mega-bux on ebay; but i'm thikin there's a certain vintage type that's really great. Jensen is like RCA; they seemed to have made some really great/legendary stuff at an earlier time.

The difference between the rp-103 and the rp-103s? Beats me. But any discussion that touches on flanges, even tangentially, buddy, I'm there. Unfortunately I have very little to add here, beyond this: I have a pair of unsuffixed rp-103 that came out of some Knight speakers. Does this cast any doubt on the OEM theory? Just asking.

I had a pair of P8RX myself. I don't think they had the original Jensen cones. I bought them for the Heathkit speakers mentioned above (which, of course, I found at the dump, but with generic Radio Shack replacement woofers). The speakers moved on to a new home last year for the price I'd paid for the P8Rxs.

Heh...actually, the "s" is making it difficult to find info. When I search, I find phrases such as "I have a pair of RP-103s" referring to the plural case.

Thanks for the replies so far. My pair has the large flange date codes of 1956 and 1959.
