that price is similar to what I was seeing on hifi shark and us/canuck audiomart for G-600 and G-610's (not sure what is different between those models, I only noticed cosmetic changes)

It's a hame that speaker will get parted out. New grill ... refresh the cabinet and it would make a beautiful mono set up.

I'm hoping that the next owner will do that or they can match it up with another set for a great stereo pair.

Thank you. Alas, this will be a quick turn but will at least give it a listen first. I am getting good consensus of there value so I know what a low estimate would be. Glad to say I have never been burned by an AKer yet.

The g-610 was a higher end model than the g-600 when new. I found a pair of them at a yard sale in 2008...
I believe the 600 has a stamped frame and the 610 is heavy cast iron, weighs about 50 lbs

The model # is marked on the frame of the speaker as well as the mfg code and build date.
Besides that theirs physical differences .Here are 2 picture of a G 610 and a G 600.the first is a G 600 and the next is a G610.

I actually feel for the the OP in one regard in that the speaker is a beatiful piece as is but if he wants to maximize profit when it come time to sell it would have to be parted out ... I'll agree with "Snow" ... Asia is probably where it will end up if posted to a worldwide auction
