I have a QL-50, which is the model below (QL-5), sold without an arm. I love it. I paid $170 with a grace arm, which was a bargain. Like Mike said, 200 bucks would be a fair price if in good nick

I have a QL-A7 and a QL-Y7. Both are great turntables. I also have Pioneer PL570, PL530, PL540, PL518. I have also owned Marantz 6100 6300 and Dual, Rotel, Concept, Denon. I prefer the JVCs. Based on recent Ebay sales of JVCs, I think $200 is a little high for that model, but if it is local and in great shape it isn't out of line.

I own a QL-A7 and highly recommend it. I only paid five bucks at a yard sale, but $200 doesn't seem out of line considering how little $200 would buy if you're looking at new turntables.

Just a couple of things on my QL-A7, which are minor issues, not affecting playback:

1. The tonearm counter weight 'droops' a bit. I believe there's a rubber bushing in there that's become a bit deformed with age.

2. The feet on my JVC were rotted away. I just stripped away the rubber parts and have the bare bolts acting as feet. No problem as my entire bench is sitting on a concrete floor.

My QL-A7 counter weight also had a large droop when I first got it. I put a small shim under the rubber bushing which helped straighten it out. Actually, looking at pictures from the manual and other sources they may have drooped slightly even when new. It just didn't look good to me.
