Ka-9100. Bin: $79

I wonder if someone switched the little plastic lockout to the other screw. Looks to easy, makes you wonder if the seller did it to bait buyers, although seems like a good seller. It's on the rough side, but for 79 bucks! Is it a worthy project?

I was wondering the same thing PatA. Could be a great bargian @$79, even as a parts unit. I have a KA-9150, same unit but bronze-coloured, a nice soundin amp! :thmbsp:

I have the same amp.:D

The seller does have other audio equipment for sale, and his wording screams blown (unobtanium) output modules. Too bad the faceplate is so dinged up.

But, you are right...ya never know.

When those amps were new the output chips cost me about $90. In a three year stretch I replaced maybe as many as 6. (not mine, in a service center...)

I think he's hiding the fact that the amp is broken. . . It does make a good preamp but I'd want it to be my choice. . .

His description makes you wonder if all you have to do is switch it back for use as an amp. . .

This Seller is a Tech. I've bought from him before. I've met him. He's been FIXING and selling audio gear for YEARS. If this is only working as a pre-amp, believe me, it's not as simple and flipping a switch, which he clearly knows about.
