Kabuki sinks to new depths (or soars to new highs)

I saw this pair of Kabuki speakers at the Goodwill the other day. Could this be the ultimate in Kabuki? No name at all anywhere on the front or back, tiny screw terminals, and 2 mids, 2 tweets, and 2 super tweets (guessing) per cabinet. The woofer looked fairly meaty, but they hardly weighed anything, so no large magnets there. Sorry for the fuzzy cellphone pic, I didn't have my camera with me.

They wanted $29.99 for them...

Lee.

Check out page 3 for some new Kabuki bargains from the same Goodwill.

That's probably $29.98 too much. Well, unless they delivered them too, as I wouldn't want to be seen carrying them out.

They'd be fun for destructive testing though.

it's like they had the best of everything, a pair of fake emit tweeters, a pair of fake jbl tweeters, and a pair of fake planer midranges.....

they are hilarious! I wonder what ohm they test at....

A piezo supertweeter would fit perfectly in that vent hole between all them tweeters. :screwy:.

I'd a spent the 30 bucks just for the fun of tearing into them. Where I live a trip to Walmart is the highlight of the day!

Yeah, I would have them outside and hook them to a 20 amp cord flip the breaker and watch the bonfire:D

Those tweeters look to me like RS leaf tweeters. I'm thinking someone may have replaced the crap that was originally in there with them. If they're the real deal that's a hell of a score.

Cover the outside with furry fabric, metal corners and handles and you got the perfect spakers.

Those are like a pair I seen in a Salvation Army thrift in Reno, NV a couple years ago. Soundesignsomethingorother. Just slap a JBL badge on them, throw them on ebay and sell them for $1000. :D :para:
