As usual, my in-and-out, spurious participation in AK has kept me out of the loop on the details of what's been going on with the "regular" guys here. But while I have yet to meet you personally, I think I've gotten a good sense of your character and reputation over the years. I've never seen a good man stay down for long, and you have a lot of supporters here so it's no surprise that you've managed to bounce back. It's also no surprise that you are paying it forward - way to go! You are an example to everyone here.

It seems our lives have run in parallel to some extent recently. My November was spent getting caught in a political crossfire at work. Since I was already planning to leave and go back to school this August, I decided to do a little software contracting before school. Contract work has been much, much leaner in this area than I was hoping for, but I'm still on track for the career change. The situation also gave me room in my schedule to go to New Orleans and help rebuild a Katrina damaged house.

Tim, I'm sure that even after paying it forward, you will get it paid back in some way, with interest!

I followed your hardships somewhere else, Tim, and they have certainly not turned you into a bitter, revengeful man, as they often do to lesser people, quite the contrary.:thmbsp:

I´m sure you´ve come out of it a better and stronger character, as is proven by your incredibly generous gesture towards that unfortunate family.

Your boys have someone to look up to with pride.:yes:

Dude....that is THE coolest house! I love it! It has such great character and you've done a great job with it. I'm considering selling my 4BR house and going to something like that as I just have too much wasted space.

My hat is off to you sir! I never doubted for a minute that all of our thoughts and prayers would be answered. If you don't personify Good Karma I don't know who does or who could possibly deserve to be on the receiving end more than you do.
