Kanto Sub8 vs Audioengine S8

I am looking to buy a subwoofer in the range of around 250-300W. These two appears to have similar specs (Audioengine S8 being 100 Euros more), and I am having a hard time deciding. I already owned Audioengine S8 and they sounded me the best at that price, but they turned out to be defective and had to return them (now they are out of stock for indefinite period).

The most significant difference in the specs between the two -
Kanto Sub8: Closed Housing, Front firing, 35 Hz - 175 Hz Response
Audioengine S8: Open Housing, Down firing, 27Hz-180Hz Response

I also own Audioengine HD6 currently which fitted quite well with the Audioengine S8. In case I decide to go with Kanto Sub8, I will replace my current Audioengine HD6 with Kanto TUK. So, in effect I am more curious about the following two set ups:
Kanto TUK with Kanto Sub8
Audioengine HD6 with Audioengine S8

PS: I am aware that both the speaker systems allow any subwoofer to be connected with them. But I would prefer the same brand because I assume they will give a better performance.
