KEF c55 white black jumper wires. Polarity?

Ok this has got me stumped. White and black?
No multimeter at hand. Anyone know ehich one is positive and negative to the woofer / tweeter?

OK, first off there is no positive or negative on a woofer. There is a convention that when the positive lead on a battery touches the RED lead on a woofer, that the voice coil moves OUT.

Your quest is to determine the RED lead and you can do that with on old remote battery (1.5 volt partially discharged). Connect both the + and - battery terminals to the woofer and watch the voice coil. If it moves OUT, the RED terminal on the woofer is connected to the positive battery terminal. If the voice coil moves IN, the RED woofer terminal is connect to the battery minus.

I don't see the problem. Jumper wires are like 4-5" long, one goes from the + woofer post to the + tweeter post, the other from the – woofer post to the – tweeter post. Wire color doesn't matter.

What am I missing?

Edit — I thought you were talking about the jumpers in the external terminal block, with wires replacing the bent-metal KEF provided. Sorry for my confusion.

KEF convention is to use similar or the same color coding across different drivers and systems.

I just reconnected the main input to my speaker input for 104/2 when I replaced the old binding posts. If its helps, the coding for that was white was (+) and black was (-).
