KEF C80's, good price?

$200 for a pair of mint KEF C80's. I'm getting these off of a AK member so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting ripped off but I don't know much about speaker value so I'm just making sure. Thanks.

A quick google and it seems this price is between a high and low so it is probably a good price. A good speaker company and not a bottom speaker. A number of drivers and a substantial cabinet and you will have a nice speaker system.

Other than a low priced auction with no final price mentioned in a thread here on AK, the price is lower than all others in that google search.

So the pluses are the speakers will not be shipped and destroyed, you are getting them from an AKer so the goods are good and the price is on the low end of fair.

Why haven't you picked em up yet?

Those were over $1000/pr around here when new. Like the C60, the C80 was virtually a Reference series quality, much better than the lower C series. The C80 were actually more expensive than the cheapest Reference 102 IIRC from my days of selling them retail.

The price is fair for a pair in nice shape, the much smaller C60 generally go for over $100 and sometimes up to $200.
