I have the Kenwood KD-2055. I have owned several Duals of various models. I think that the Kenwood is probably at least as good as the Dual but different. The tonearm is stiffer but also probably heavier. I never liked the thin tonearm wands and cheap plastic headshells on Duals. But the Dual has a sprung isolated subchassis, which seems to help keep the table from vibrating when the music is trying to shake it. The Dual has a lot of machinery underneath, which is mostly unnececcary and all of that stuff can resonate. The Kenwood is much simpler and needs a lot less machinery. Both tables have extra contacts in the audio signal path for muting, I don't like that. The Kenwood, being bely drive, probably has less rumble than the idler drive dual. I guess if I was selling, I would want the Dual, if I was listenimg, I would probably want the Kenwood. I don't know anything about the Yamaha.
