Hi AK'ers,
I own a 700M power amp and I love it. But I hate tweaking the super sensitive volume knobs individually on each channel every time I want to adjust volume. I need a preamp!
I'd love to acquire a 700C pre since it is the logical mate to the 700M, but they are hard to find and quite expensive. Regarding the Accuphase C-200, there's one for sale I am considering. I'd say it doesn't look quite as nice as the 700C, but, I still like its look and it definitely fits with the look and vintage of my system. And I have reason to think it's top notch in terms of vintage design, build, and sonics. And, a close cousin of the 700C in the family tree.
FYI, I'll be running an Ortofon 2M black MM cartridge into the phono stage. That's a factor too- how well suited the phono stage of the Accuphase in particular is for my 2m Black given the following cartridge specs:
Does anyone have direct experience comparing the two preamps, sonically? Or, have any opinion on 2M black cartridge matching with either preamp?

- Internal impedance, DC resistance - 1,2 kOhm
