I have a Kenwood KD 3070 and need information on proper setup.

Also, would a Pickering XV-15 be a good match for this table?

Go to Vinyl Engine download the owners manual for the KD-3070 and Pickering XV-15, everything you need to know, after reading still have questions fire away.

The 3070 is a nice table... It looks nice and sounds nice too. I have mine on the bench for a tonearm rewire eventually, as I really enjoy the table, and would like to keep using it. My 3070 came with an XV15, but I haven't used it, as it needs a new stylus.

I read this, and am not sure if it applies to the XV15 as well:

Pickering V-15 was designed for records cut with a 15 degree angle (pre 70s if not 60s) instead of the now universal 20 degree angle.

But lets face it, lots of people use this cartridge, and are more than pleased.

I want to mount the cartridge correctly. The specs say 15mm overhang. Is that what I need to know and how do I utilize that knowledge?

The easy shortcut for mounting the cartridge is "50.5mm from the tip of the cantilever to the washer at the back of the headshell ". :music:
