Kenwood KA-3500 problems HELP!!!

My new Kenwood KA-3500 is having troubles, if you run just the A speakers only the left one works, if you run just B both left and right channels work. Then if you run A+B only the left channel works. Any help appreciated. HELP!!!!!

Did you try cleaning the switch?......
 
What do you have connected up to the various speaker terminals?

You should check the speaker wire connections on both the amplifier and on the speakers, to make sure you do not have a loose wire somewhere.

What you describe sounds like you have a bad connection with your right speaker on the "A" connection. If nothing is properly connected to it, since that amplifier connects the A & B in series, it would prevent the B speaker on the right side from working when you select both, if you do not have the speaker properly connected on the A terminal. Again, check the connection at the amplifier and at the speaker.

If that does not fix your problem, post more in this thread and tell us what you have done, and what is connected to each terminal.
 
Not a comment on the problem, rather your configuration. Do not block the amplifier's air vents. Find another location for the CD player (under the amp perhaps?)

Glad to be of help. You might also want to do as anytune suggests above, and put the CD player under the amplifier, if it will fit that way. With any equipment with vents (holes) in the case, it is a good idea to have nothing above the holes for a couple of inches. The reason being, the holes are there to let out heat, and if it gets too overheated, it will be damaged. If it did not need venting, there would be no holes in the case.
