Kenwood KA-801 bias and preamp DC Offset questions

Ahh, the oh-so-rare but pretty looking gunmetal variant. If I could only find that and the even rarer matching KT-8155 tuner for less than a king's ransom, I'd trade in my 801 and 815 in a heartbeat.
It seems like the 801 falls well behind the shadow of the big brother 907 and the earlier Kenwood series'. It was the tail end of silver faced amps, when the build quality was just starting to go south and blacked out mid-fi was starting to take over the scene. If you dig around there's definitely some info, but it's not nearly as well supported as Kenwood's more well known intergrateds like the x100 series, at least from what I've seen.
