KENWOOD KX-1003 (KX-1030) - Need a resistor

Hello,
I own a Kenwood KX-1003 (same like a KENWOOD KX-1030 but with a gunmetal plate) and I'm looking for a resistor.

Got the tape deck but sadly the BIAS/ADJUST-control is broken. I removed everything and saw that the resistor spindle is damaged. So I need a new resistor and I'm looking for this since 2 weeks. No chance or maybe I'm too stupid for it.

In the service manual it's part 53 and indicated as:

VARIABLE RESISTOR 50kOHM (B) x 2 VR15,16 with the part number R21-4302-08

Is there any chance to get this part?
Yes, I'm living in Germany but I can offer an US address for the shipment.

If the potentiometer (aka variable resistor) which is a concentric, linear (B) taper type does not have separate adjustments for each of its two sections (VR15 and VR16) , the following potentiometer might work.

I checked the link and yes, this potentiometer looks really similar.
Sadly my potentiometer has two separate adjustments which makes the search really difficult.
I checked the potentiometer again and can read "NOBLE B50KΩ X2".... No idea if this helps!

Perhaps this one is what you need. The one you have may not have the center detent but if the two variable resistors in this potentiometer can be adjusted separately, that shouldn't be a big issue. You should check with the vendor to make sure. You should also check the dimensional drawing in the DOCS section of the webpage to make sure it will fit.

Damn.... my potentiometer. So it will not work!

Did you properly zero your caliper? I ask this question because the graduated scale on it shows the shaft diameter as being approximately 6mm or 0.25" which is what the dimensional drawing for the replacement potentiometer shows..

Damn @dhnash you're absolutely right. The scale is damaged. Sure I zero my caliper but it's not working in the right way. It shows something instead the selected mm....Chaning the scale doesn't help. Need a new one because I checked it quickly with a ruler.

Relax, rod size is standard. If other fits you can use it.
