Kenwood VR-4080 External IR Transmitter / Receiver

I am looking for a Kenwood “IR-9991” IR Receiver.
The Kenwood A/V Receiver, VR-4080 uses a remote that is a combination of RF and IR.
The IR-9991 will allow the system to be controlled with IR only, allowing the use of modern “unifying remotes”.

Anyone have one for sale or know of a substitute?

I am using a Kenwood VR-4080 as a sound system for my home theater using Klipsch Quintet speaker system.
The reciver has a speaker B channel.
I have recently restored a Dual 1019 turn table that I plan to use with Speaker B output as an “Old School High-Fi” system.
As I go through the speaker selection for Speaker B, I have a question.
Is the Sub Woofer output active when Speaker B is active?
I do not see a specific statement in the owners manual.
Thanks for any info.
