Killed Instantly?

LIVE from Lake Ouachita
.....taken from the dash-mounted camera of a state trooper car....who knows why the black pickup drifted over into the stacked snow to the left....did the driver over-react trying to pull the truck back to the right?....I think so.....

It looked like he started to lose traction before he drifted into the snow bank on the left. Man, it doesn't take but a second, does it?

Yep, it looks like his rear end broke loose and he started fishtailing all over. Doesn't take much with RWD and a light rear end to bust loose on wet, snowy roads.

Sad.

Boom! Looks like over correction to me as well. Maybe he jerked the wheel to the right when he drifted onto the snow in the center.

My 28 year old son is a crotch-rocket rider. I remind him almost every time I talk to him that it only takes a half a heartbeat for things to go horribly wrong.

I think what caused it was poor driving. Maybe distracted for some reason. Darwin strikes again.:sigh:

Yup.

1. Driving too fast for conditions.
2. Driving too close to the vehicle in front.
3. Distracted and/or not paying attention, drifted into the snow in the middle of the road, lost control.
4. Over corrected.
