Interesting pair of complete KLH Seventeens nearby, look good. $85 a fair price?

That is in the ballpark, pending condition! The 17s are a real sleeper; I have 17s, 6s, 32s, 31s.....anyway, the 17s are in my office, recapped, redoped, and cleaned up, and i have 6s also done, but so far left them in my shop. I don't know whether to switch them or not, although everyone says the 6s have a bit more bottom.

You can always offer less, I paid $65 for mine two years ago

That's sort of what I was thinking,as if I need another pair, I have Fives, 32s (2 pairs), AR 4Xs, single AR 2, Valencia, etc. But.......

I just sold two pairs for $40 a pair and it took a little while (many weeks) for an interested buyer to appear. I would make an offer more to your liking, if not accepted just wait for another pair to appear.

$85.00 they better be pretty nice. I'd try $65-$75 . And yes 17 are pretty good speakers.
Of the klh speakers I can speak to the pecking order would be 23,5,6,17,20,22a.just my .02. Eric

It's not a bad price IMO if the cabinets are in good shape, or if they've been recapped or had the woofers redoped. I'd try for a little better. I'd try for $70. They do sound nice; like an Advent with slightly shallower low-end but a tweeter that isn't beam-y. Smoother crossover transition too.
