They do, but there were some size variations on the badges. You'll get accurate measurements this evening unless someone else gets them to you today.

I picked these 5's up about 4 hours ago. Original owner with original boxes. No badges though. He had four and a Fisher four channel receiver. If someone is checking the correct dimensions of 23 badges, maybe someone can chime in on 5 badge dimensions. Where do I post what I paid for these to get opinions if it was a good value. Did there not used to be a Dollars and Cents section? Debating if I should try to get the other pair.
Sorry. Note my equipment list. For speakers I have three of the most popular from the 70's. I did own KLH 6's 40 years ago.

Dimensions are 15/16ths X 2 1/4 inches for the Twenty Threes & Fives.
My Fives have badges as well.

Beautiful! Great to get them from the original owner. I would suspect a re-cap and woofer surround reseal are in order unless it's already been done. Great speakers!
Do all 4 speakers have missing badges? Seems odd that KLH would sell them with out their logo brand on them.

I have had 2 sets of 23's and currently own a set of 5's. The 23's were sold off along with most of my gear when we moved out of state last year. I kept the 5's only because of escalating value. The 23's are a very sweet sounding speaker and in many ways the equal of the 5's especially when listening to jazz and big band.

I am in love with the 23's honestly - listen to a lot of jazz and acoustic **** and they just have an unbelievably sparkly yet gentle high end. But I'm also very curious about getting 5's - don't have room for two sets of speakers at that size so wondering if I should bother. They are expensive too, the 5's, everybody's into them now.

For jazz and acoustic I wouldn't bother getting 5's. The 23's might even surpass the 5's for those genres. Hang onto the 23's. After this thread they'll double in value!

I think for average normal volume listening the 23's and 5's are close. The 5's really open up into their "own league" with some power in back of them. A man cave would be needed!
I'd like to a ask a couple of questions regarding the large cast aluminum logos with the screw on the back.
1. I have one (I don't remember where I got it) that is gold, not silver. What model did this come from? A model Twelve?
2. I have two silver ones that I stripped because of their condition. I would first spray paint the pieces with semigloss black, but then....
a. after they dry, should I hand rub them on extremely fine paper to remove the raised paint? or
b. cover a putty knife with a tight thin cloth and sweep across the piece while the paint is still wet?

Ok about the 5's I got yesterday. It was a CL post, the guy had two pairs and was asking $300.00 each. He did not know me from Adam, so I had him meet me with one pair in the back of his mini van. They were nicer than I expected and in the original boxes. The badges were lost in a move. I met his wife, a nice couple in there mid 70's. I offered him $240.00 and he counter offered $260.00 which we agreed upon. He said they sounded good, which I believe. Will hook them up tonight an find out. Very nice survivors. I know I can make them shine. I would not have paid anymore, but these are really nice and one owner. Maybe low miles. It seems like I get a lot of stuff in pairs. Something inside of me is saying try to get the other pair. How would I go about making him a offer without offending. You never know.

When I redid the ADS logos, I sanded them, really slid them back & forth, on black 600 grit and they look great.
