The KG4's - very good speakers. They don't command the prices of older, heritage line Klipsch.

I've seen them go for about $200 here in the CL in the Chicago area.

Not sure there are better sounding speakers in that price range.

Excellent speakers matched with a low-power vintage receiver or tube amp.

Like Snade. I've seen several of these speakers sell in the $200 range.

To the OP, if you can negotiate with the seller and you are looking for a nice pair of speakers, go for it.

Because I have seen several sales go well below his asking price, I think it is a bit steep.


tomrich22, if those are close to you and don't go much higher, it would be a great price. The KG4 s are a very good speaker and very easy to drive.

If you can do local pick up and they go below 200 bucks that may be a good deal.

He is asking $60 shipping and their is risk of shipping damage, so I would not go after them with shipping since they are usually available on local CL.

I paid $100 for my pair. I was the only caller on them, and he was asking $150.

They are probably the only floor standers I could get for my living room that would fit and be acceptable to my wife. I'm working on subliminal messages now.

There is a difference between the price someone scored and the going market price.

The going price on KG4's in good shape on CL is probably about 150 to 200. That's a lot of speaker, actually, for that price.
