They Sound Amazing!
But I may re cap with good film caps to see the difference. For the better I hope. Thanks

jeez , I almost forgot that I have a pair. I bought them new and sadly , I haven't played them in years. I always liked them. They are an end table right now .

I did up a pair for a guy using Sonicap caps and Mills resistors. The improvement was obvious and they were extremely pleased. Do not use Dayton/Bennic or Solen as you won't like the results. Another good cap choice would be Clarity CSA, even better CMR.

Just picked up a near mint set of Klipsch KG4’s for a steal, 150.
They sound great!
Amazing sound stage!
Anyone else have em? Thanks View attachment 2642393View attachment 2642394

Epic, I don’t run Klipsch speakers often as I can’t do horns but the KG4 and KG2 are some of there best in my opinion.

So don’t be scared to hook them up to some power, they are super efficient but love LOVe power. I ran a set for a number of years with an SX1250. The pioneer SX50 series plays really nicely with the KG4. The if I found a set of the KG2 in that nice of shape I’d buy them instantly. Man $150!!! Amazing deal!!!

he speaks the truth ^^^

Dayton caps are a line level upgrade at best, Solan caps are way to sterile for me I’ve never had good luck with them. I’ve tied too, ended up giving multiple sets away.

Jantzen superior (blue) I feel are some of the best bang for the $$ they add warmth and clearly. Ayden seems to be good too. I 10000000% agree on the no Dayton or Solan!

I hope i disagree when my Dayton caps come in and i get them installed. And sorry as i just noticed this was a older post

You never stated what is driving them and material as source.

I found them to be in the category of speakers that are very selective in what drives them. Placement is also a key to them sounding the best.

I came across a set of these a while ago and I was very impressed. I regretted selling them. Great speakers, I'm sure they would sound even better with the right amp

I doubt you will notice any difference in SQ by using Dayton caps. You may gain some longevity with the new caps but it’s not going to give you better sound quality.
