La Scala tweeter not working

Do those tweeters use ferrofluid? If so, it's possible the "muffled" tweeters ferrofluid has dried up.

I had a tweeter in an old Speakerlab speaker with a similar problem many years back.

That seemed to only be a Speakerlab thing. I removed the ferrofluid from the Atlas PD5VH and WA4000 tweeters and left it out. Both sound better but I'm not using the WA4000 (T35) in my rebuild of my K's...using Celestion tweeters.
