Late model 400 Phase Inverter Adjust

here is one of those questions that may fall into the category of dumber question but I have to ask it:
Okay, some of these *caps* are being changed out because, due to their age, are drying out so why aren't the NOS K-40-Y russian PIO's dried out as well?
 
Hermetically sealed in glass. Russians are still using tube gear in a lot of Military equipment.
 
Either are fine with use of the lower value grid return resistors, although the 68's will give you a better or closer time constant to the original .047uf/330K network. Currently I have .082's in my 400, and .1's in my 800's. But they were overhauled from 1 to 4 years ago. The sound difference is negligible, except maybe on a scope.
 
can someone help me fill in the blanks on this list? I took Leestereo's 400 restoration and made this list from his labels. I'm not sure if it's complete or not but sure looks like a good start.

The parts above were originally sourced from Mouser; of course, any equivalent part can be used.
 
I have a Visa gift card that I'm going to use to order some parts. what do you all think of this list for starters? ( card is only $25 but seems a good start )
I've decided to use the K-40-Y-9 0.068 PIO's as couplers as well that I'll order in the near future.

I ordered 4 K40y-9's. 0.068uF 630v. From what I've read the K40Y-9 red B's are the exact same just have a coating to make them a bit more heat resistant. :music:

Question: one CL-80 is all I need, right?
 
Thanks Larry. I think, per your earlier recommendation, I'll start a new thread on my restoration/rehab. I have many photos that I can upload for the "pre-rehab" state.
or, do you think I should continue this one?
 
I think the original item the title referenced is finished, so starting a new thread to document the rehab of the unit makes sense.
