Let me start things off here with something simple ...

That's some very big Tube testers :D Nice testers, You should get some socket savers in them though. I had to change sockets in a tv7 and it was something like 49 wires. a real pain in the ass.

I only just removed the 7 and 9 pin savers to replace them,I had a short between the saver and tube socket(there was a little rust to make the circuit)when I got it.

Nice try fellow Ak'er sKiZo-Man,

your posted photo is a prototype (mock-up) of the the first Soviet Scientific
Lander / Rover that crashed on the moon in 1968. The Soviet Rover was
shrouded in secrecy; only to be revealed to the world upon It's successful
landing which never happened, So! this contraption and knowledge of It's
doomed fiasco was shamefully hidden away for many years.

"Just foolin' with yah!"

I do apologize, I fibbed; This apparatus is actually a Ukrainian condom
retreading machine. "Wonderful what they can do nowadays"

s-petersoen's TV-7 & his B&K Dyna jet (which is one of my favorite devices)
are both fine examples of well made utility instruments; and with a bit of knack,
they can easily be brought back up and beyond par to perform there task efficiently
in the 21st century for a minimal expenditure.

Butt seriously, folks ...

Some of those old testers (like a lot of the classics) are things of beauty. Here's my trusty Precision 980:

If anybody ever wondered about the cost of these things back in the day, take a look inside:

Has all the upgrades, including a breakout box for some of those new fangled tubes, like compactrons and novar. Even got the latest data roll installed.

... and only time you hear the same kind of noise as the Tardas is when it's retreading a condom that's still in use.

It's nice to own a matched pair of Twin Sencore Continental MU-140's

This is my favorite. A compact Hickok TV-3B/U. It will test just about any tube I need to test and reads directly in micromhos.

This B&K 650 is a monstrosity for a fold up. I am in the process of restoring it. It will end up replacing my 707 that I just let go as a backup.

Four I have laying around here. Hickok 6000A, TV-7D/U, NRI Professional Model 70, and hiding under a pile of junk is my Eico667 that I use for compactrons.

I'll play, here are a few. Nice tub-o-Mullards there Mark. I use my eico for compactron duty too.

Here is my recovered Hickock 6000 I got from Kara the Tube Wizard a while back. My Amplitrex is supposed to be here in about 2 weeks!
