Does anyone know if Levinson face plates from the No. 2X series were anodized or painted?

I have some wear and wondering the best avenue to go for restoration.

Anodized.

Never seen any painted ones.

Unless you can re-letter the front.

Anything you try will look poor.

I've tried.
