Links to AK are not unusual these days, and probably more common place since google searches seem to leave no AK stone unturned.

Price on those is headed over the top, 755A's are the big ticket 755's.

This speaker(originally) was probably one of the better inventions from Bell Telephone.

I will double that comment. I just sold a pair of 755B's on the bay for some good coin.
 
Lazy seller who should post their own info. Anyone linking to AK in an auction should have our permission first. Sorry but we are here for the benefit of our members. Not some sellers wallet.

It's much akin to using someone else's pics to promote one's auction without permission.

Probably not the work of an AK asset, or likely to bring many here.:no:

OTOH, AK has become a vast database of trusted knowledge and trusted opinions. Seems AK is viewed by at least some non-member enthusiasts as a legitimate reference source for audio.

Interestingly, i just did an advanced search including titles and descripitions on the 'bay for "audiokarma", 16 auctions found, all looks to be decent stuff(no BPC or junk), and nothing that immediately appears "questionable" in terms of a potential scam.

Like it or not, because all y'all know so danged much, AK has become a reference source. I think it's how I originally found you - looking for some kind of info on a relatively obscure peice of gear I'd gotten my hands on. Of course our relationship has veritably blossomed since those days...
 
He has some really interesting stuff for sale. Dilemma is for the unbuilt kits is whether to open and build or keep unbuilt and sealed. The Transoceanic is very enticing and maybe the only one in existence. The current price is not chicken feed but not so over the top that I can see it going to a user rather than a collector. It really has me thinking but, I promised not to indulge myself this year.
 
Let me clarify just a bit. Its one thing to credit the source of info. Its another to be so lazy as to just post a link and hope it boosts your profits.

Bottom line is I have never told anyone they could not have permission to link us in their auction. Then again in close to 8 years no one has bothered asking.

I´m glad you clarified that.

Asking for permission to link to an open discussion forum is, to say the least, a bit unrealistic and impractical.

Crediting a source, OTOH, is a matter of courtesy and good manners, and doesn´t cost a dime.:yes:

AK is one of the standards of measuring audio gear. It's how I found AK, by a google search on vintage gear I was considering.

But agree, permission should be obtained. Unfortunately the wheeler dealers on ebay won't go through the effort.

Was not meaning to be critical. I noticed you are in Portugal and from experience know English is about as screwy a language to learn as there is. I deal with a number of persons where English is their second language and most early on ask me to help them out when I hear something they say they is not quite right.

As for learning another language, I've got 1 year of Latin, 1 year of German, a year of Hebrew and too many years of legalese and tax. Of all, tax and legalese are by far the most difficult. Then again they were developed by lawyers, judges and Congress, some or the worst in communicating with others.
