List of Absurd Prices for Items - Fun thread for obviously enthusiastic expectations

I just found this listing amusing, maybe it's what the market is bearing:

Actually, that might not be a bad price depending on the overall condition. It is a base model with a small, but it has a following. It is a later model and not as popular as the years before. The AMX. Check it out on Wikipedia.

I hope the use of the Chrysler/AMC moniker was just an uninformed choice

A bit insane for the number of records (and thank god they don’t refer to them as vinyls). Quality might dictate price.

My first collection eventually grew to around 5000 records, comprised heavily of Japanese and audiophile pressings, many European imports, all kept in mint condition. I worked in the industry and had easy access. I figure in today’s market the collection would be worth upwards of $50,000.

New in box, unboxing video, a quality tuner but $9,999 for a McIntosh MR 78? Their claims about market values of other MR 78 tuner are exaggerated.

"Power button is stuck Back plugs are messed up Light and screen work 30,000watts" they want $650, lol

I have to wonder who buys this overpriced junk in the first place. I'd really like to know how they reached that "30,000 Watts" determination. The only way that is hitting 30,000W is if it gets struck by lightning

After looking around at various items and the prices being asked I'm not sure about what's absurd these days.

I do know what I would pay though and most of the time it isn't close to asking prices.

I'm stuck in the past.
