List of Absurd Prices for Items - Fun thread for obviously enthusiastic expectations

While $2,200 seems astounding to me as well, that is actually what the market will pay since it was bid up to that amount. So while some may deem it outrageous, apparently it is not. In the context of this thread, if $2,200 is the max for an NIB, then someone asking $8k would be outrageous.

The Mt. Pleasant "subwoffer" guy seems to be persistent. Glad he doesn't have more crap to sell.
Mr. ALL CAPS has slowed his postings of late.

Part of the reason I posted the Crosley was the fact the seller has 4 VINYL's to sweeten the deal.
I hate that term. I think it's mostly kids and hipsters that say vinyls.
I think it's the same group that also calls woofers "subs".

Oh look at that, my old fart just reared it's ugly head.

I'd think some AK'ers call them LP's. Possibly because they were around when long playing records were introduced or at least newer technology.
Myself I've always just called them records. Or albums. Long ago when I was buying singles I called them 45's.

Words and descriptors change with the times. Been that way since humans could speak I imagine.
I'm too old and set in my ways plus I'd probably look or sound silly trying to use the currently popular verbiage.

It's Grand Rapids. Flippers there are a bit flaky and will list their thrift-store hauls sometimes for years.

One flipper here would list prices really high and those ads are going on two years. The funny thing is after two years, the going prices actually caught up to his old high prices! So all if a sudden his prices are now sorta reasonable in today’s market. Then a few weeks back, he bumped up pretty much every item , and now he’s ahead of the price curve…nuts!

Maybe the seller doesn't really want to sell anything. Just keeps listing to keep a significant other happy.
"I'm trying dear, but on one's buying".

Or else it's the old is some is good, more is better, and too much is just right.
