I went to a guys house to buy a TT a while back and he had some really nice Norman Labs speakers. Anyone know what the TOL #'s of that brand were?

Model 9's i have a set and they sound unbelievable, only non Klipsch I kept

Really enjoyed going thru this thread yall, I see i posted in it back in 2012. Allow me to crown a winner, the Klipschorn, no other speaker can claim even a little of the longevity(sp) of the big K, this speaker has been in production since 1947 ? and basically unchanged since 1955. All these speakers came and went, the Klipschorn remains, and still 105db at 1 watt is a gold standard, too big you say, nah, once their in a corner you cant hardly see em. The thing is, and i've seen this a dozen times, these are so damm sensitive that the source is ultra important, perhaps more than any speaker. The thought that all you need is a good tube amp is a bit off, yes they love tubes, but the right SS amp can rival tubes, like a Yamaha B1 or B2, McIntosh has some great gear as well. I read an article by stereophile and he talked about how many amps he went through before settling on one, and it was not the one he thought it would be beforehand. Not particularly vintage, but they do look pretty impressive. Being that they are current production, I can't help but wonder how they might stack up against JBL M2.

I know this is an old post. But, those are fantastic speakers. Had a pair, the bass on those were quite something that
not many 10" could reproduce. Solid cabinet too!

1979...Cerwin Vega 316-R's, best speaker CV ever made IMHO. I still have mine and they still sound as good now as they did in 1979...
