I recently purchased a vintage integrated amp from a long time AK'er (on Barter Town) that was advertised as fully restored and working. I offered full asking price, which was accepted by the seller. I received the amp in good condition and played it several times for less than an hour each time and enjoyed the sound. After about a week, I noticed the right channel would stop working after a few minutes of playing. I troubleshot the situation and ruled out cables, sources, and speakers. It clearly was a right channel issue on both A and B selections. I reached out to the seller to explain the situation and ask his advice. Despite several polite requests, I have received no responses over a 10 day period. I hope the seller isn't sick but I feel that it's likely I'm being ghosted. I'm wondering if my expectations for a response are reasonable and if so, what I should expect the seller to provide. I took the amp to my Tech last week but he won't be able to get to it for a month. It seems to me that an offer to offset some of the Tech's costs would be a reasonable response but should I just write it off as Caveat Emptor? Thanks in advance for your advice.
