Looking for Amplifier to use with AR 2ax Speakers

What exactly is the issue with the Onkyo TX 8222? It’s class AB 50 watts. It’s a fantastic receiver. I use it’s bigger brother the TX 8270 which produces 100 watts to drive a pair of AR 5s. The DACs and streaming capabilities are phenomenal. And the phono input is just fine. I run a Dual 1249 into it. It’s a shame Onkyo doesn’t make these receivers anymore.

Remember a 100 watts will only drive a speaker 3dB louder than 50 watts. 200 watts only 6dB louder. Not really meaningful for typical listening conditions. The 50 clean watts of the Onkyo are just fine for your ARs.
