I will 2nd that. Take a search on AK...just type in 2Sd 371 and see how many hits you get. However, I will caveat this with, when changing one transistor of a complimentary pair, I would replace both, at least on that channel. So, you'll also want the 21193 for the other transistor

Buying modern Onsemi will be much easier than chasing vintage transistors on ebay. Will also be much more reliable.
Does the circuit use NPN and PNP for the output stage?
If only NPN then just use four MJ21194.
If NPN and PNP, agree that you should use the 21193/21194 pairings.

Here is what I am working on. I recently bought a Heathkit integrated amplifier, nice little unit ,yes it's old but it has what I wanted. Looking at the manual it has a lot of transistors that I can not find yet. I have been able to get some transistor and ic's but I really need a TC487 IC, a bar graph driver, but can't seem to find this one. I have found most on Epay and serval off other sites. Looking for other places that might have this IC I think this is a 8 pin regular op amp but not sure. Anyone with the ideas and other sites to consider would be appreciated. I did find the toshiba 2SD371 and it's complimentary brother.

None have a 500 hFE so will not work for me, but Thanks for the info. What is your application? It is doubtful the transistor is working at that level anyhow. Hfe is not everything...

What is the model # of the Heath amp? I don't find any reference to that particular (TC487) IC. If we can find the schematic it might help us find a suitable part?

I have a Heath kit AA-1205 Integrated amplifier and it uses two of the TC-487 IC's as level detectors on the meter board. Interestingly, I notice on the assembly diagram it notates the TL487 as TL-487. So I googled that number and found selling them off epay.. Two now on order. I now have sourced all of the IC'S used in this unit. Now if I could be so lucky with a couple of regulators and transistors that I have yet to find. I might have to put up a list and see if there are replacements for them. Thanks for the response.
I dint think the originals are 2 amp, Doing a search shows them at .5 amps
