Looks like BA A-150s on Chicago CL, $25.

150/II - the orginals had SEAS tweeters. I have both. They sound good with both tweeters. A bit fatigueging after a long session as (to my ears) they can get a bit harsh in the highs. Great speakers for the money though.

I hope they have the grills for whoever ends up with them. Those probably had the tan grill covers, as that looks like the real Oak veneer (unless they changed them from the first series, which is what I had). They look really sharp like that. I briefly had A-100s that had the black grill cloth and vinyl fake wood veneer, which didn't look nearly as good. They really are a great sounding speaker. Simple, and do a lot of things right. Much better than the A-100, in my opinion.

I know! I've only acquired an early '70s Sony 2251 TT, Audire preamp/amp, Celestion SL6s, and a McIntosh 1900 in the past month :tears:

Ha, still putting us all to shame.

So far this summer I've scored a couple of jazz CDs at a garage sale.

Oh yea, and some KG4's and an old Schwinn road bike.

Also, if anybody in Chicago is looking for a pair of Dynaco A-25s, there was a pair at Saturday Audio. I think they were 79 or 89 dollars, which isn't bad if they're what you've been looking for. I looked for my pair for over a year.

No affiliation with them, either, except that they take my money every so often.

KG4s and a Schwinn Road Bike are sweet scores in my book. Especially the Schwinn...great summer from riding. Not too hot. And my finds weren't super scores...all fair prices, just some things I really wanted (like a pair of speakers, the Celestions, that didn't weight as much as me, for my office).

There were a pair of BA A-150's at my local GW yesterday. Walked away and didn't look back.

I'm getting stronger.
