Lounge Music Playlist

Go to skyfm.com (internet radio) and look up Illinois Street Lounge. VERY enjoyable, jogs my memory with long-forgotten melodies from the past. I can't say how much I have enjoyed this nostalgic trip back into time... Excellent.Edit: You will find Illinois Street Lounge on somaFM.com. Also listening to the Quiet Village on Digitiki.com. Excellent exotica podcast!

New School Lounge

I listen to a lot of Nu School Lounge music....Most is electronic in origin with many samples of real instrumentals from yesteryear. Like someone mentioned earlier some of the best compilations of this type of music are

Hotel Costes
Cafe del Mar
Supperclub
Your lounge your music
Hi fidelity lounge
Global lounge
Frequent flyer
Kaffeehous lounge
electric calm
Nu Jazz 1-4
Chill out Cafe ( Irma)
Cafe Roma
St. Germaine Cafe des pres

There are a million ofem, but comps are the best way to discover some of these new artists. Some of this nu stuff has the old school feel to it ( Especially the stuff from Italy ) some does not, but its all cool stuff!!! Also fyi there is a thread on amazon called ( Call it Lounge downtempo chillout or whatever ) it has about a thousand and a half posts most suggesting this type of music.....

Bet this made the guys in Brooklyn at little less desperate! ;)

SomaFM, "Illinois Street Lounge", great internet radio. I can't find easy listening on FM anymore, where it always sounded awesome when I was a kid in the 60's... This will have to suffice. Also, The Quiet Village podcast, by Digitiki, mixes informed talk with classic Baxter, Sumac, and contempo lounge as well.
