LP Gear generic stylus

#1, I've had excellent luck with LPGear generics, many of which, are JICO.

#2, Every JICO stylus I've obtained direct from JICO has been excellent as well.

#3, If you're having difficulty tracking down a particular stylus replacement, give Ed Saunders a try. He just tracked one down for me that was supposedly no longer available.

My humble 2 cents.

Well, I just ordered up the LPG HE stylus for the M91 and the Stanton D71EE. I also grabbed some of the LP sleeves since I need some new ones for some of my GW finds. I'm hoping these prove to be $100 well spent.

Will do. I figure I'll get them late next week. I don't get the impression LPG is a big operation that goes out of its way to get orders shipped. It's all good. That's probably the soonest I'll have time to tinker with the table further.

I'm pretty sure it's one person.

Stanton stylus installed...

My goodies from LP Gear arrived last night. I put the D71EE on the Stanton, and am now giving Pearl Jam's Backspacer a spin. Much more bass. The highs were a little quiet, but I'm only up to track four, and these first four cuts are heavy rockers. I adjusted the tone control, and like the sound a lot. I still need to go back and readjust the arm, but man, what a sound!

The M91 may never get a chance... :music:

I placed my second order for a Jico SAS stylus with LP Gear on Monday and it will be here tomorrow on Friday. Despite a recent thread from a person having a difficult time with LPG I've always had good luck with them. I used to use an Ed Saunders stylus in my V-15 III when that was really one of the few choices you had and was happy with the results although I like the Jico SAS now.

I've been thinking about buying a second headshell (from a 1200MK2 or the Orotofon version) from KAB to have lying around. This way instead of constantly remounting everything, I can basically plug-n-play. I wonder, though, if the generic $10 headshells would be fine as well.

Thanks! I may have to take a ride to Cherry Hill after Xmas. $7 for the alignment tool seems much better that $27 for one headshell and the tool. Actually, I went to their website, paid $16 to have one shipped. The extra $$ is worth it not to deal with traffic on 295 and near the CH Mall. Free shipping rules.
