According to the SM,they should be 2SC1431 or 2SA762 but i don't know what the sub is offhand.Maybe try Mouser or Digikey? :scratch2:

There is no trusted replacement for those TO-66. Perhaps you can fashion something with TO-220? A good match would be MJE15031G and MJE15030G both available and with better specs.

Well is it bad or is she fixable?
Fixable...

Need to Rebuild the Power Boards as I do not trust what was repaired on these boards...Had to do this with my L-100U and all worked out very well. All other Boards are working as I disconnected the Power Boards and she came up.

Have a Parts list together...Going to Order.

So testing the Power Boards...Diodes 1S1555 are Bad, A few Transistors 2SC945, 2SC1507 and some Resistors are Blown. So I will be replacing All the Diode, Transistors and Resistors. There are some VD-1221 that will be replaced.

Not many parts on these boards anyway and my L-100U parts unit has the 2SC945 and 2SC1507.

Parts are about in...Wanting for the TO-66 Transistors from Consolidated...Yes they have TO-66's that will work (Sony, Central and Toshiba)..

Looking at the PB-1045 Board.

What like to verify the correct Placement of PB-1046 Boards (PNP,NPN) that connect into PB-1045 (Pic).

There are markings (Picture) for PNP and NPN(PB-1045). The Boards PB-1046 that I took out had PNP connecting into NPN connector. And NPN connecting to PNP.

No sure if someone has some close-up's pictures...Or if you can Open up the case...

Cohiba,

I have pictures, probably not what you need though.

http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=484859

When my new to me tube pre-amp get's back from the shop (I'm thinking a week or two) I'll be rotating her into the line up at which point I could pop open my M-2000 and take pics. I'm not sure if you can or want to wait that long but I thought I would offer.
I can wait....Just making sure on this. Working on the rest of the boards now (Recapping).

Checking on-line and not many pics of close shots of these boards.

Thanks.....and Happy New Year!!!!!!

Let me know where exactly and what I should be taking pictures of.
If you can take a close up picture of Both sides of the Outputs and back of PB-1045 board. There is a wire on 1 board and not on the other.

Who knows what the other person was doing.

This will let me know on PNP/NPN placement.

Thanks...:thmbsp:

PB-1011: Power Meter is completed.

Going to put this back together....Just waiting for the TO-66 to get in next week for the Power Amp. And some Pics from "Dswankey" on the Power Amp Board placement.

When I got this in and started to look at this I just shake my head on what the other person was thinking...:scratch2:

I will test(DBT) this Friday without the Power Amps connected.

@cohiba,

Here's some pics, I was a little nervous about unscrewing or removing anything other then the case. I hope these suffice.
