Luxman L309V T300V

This is my favorit set of luxman gear, the L309V and T300V
Both beautiful to look at, very good matching together and fine sound quality.
The L309 amp has a extensive tone control and the linear equalizer can be very helpfull to increase the sound of dull lp's

Nice, it seems several Dutch AK people are having this Luxman addiction, could it be because the import company has founded the appreciation of the brand during the seventies, showing their care about technical stuff, there are stories about testing units before it went to dealers, giving antenna information and also a paper about their dislike of the cable TV/radio companies offering lower quality FM to the homes.....(I have a copy of it somewhere)

Interesting comment. I have a pair of T-110s and one has the gold plated jacks the other does not. I believe the early one has the gold plated but I need to check the units to be sure. I don't recall seeing another gold RCAed unit on the bay for this tuner.

I think I am narrowing down a bit of a pattern to the serial numbers for Luxman gear that start with a letter and then the number. Maybe I'll put a post about that out there.

Luxman import company Audioscript

Sure, the import company of Luxman in the Netherlands, Audioscript, did a lot to the appreciation of the brand in the seventies. Of course, their pre and after sales service was very good. I have a couple of pre sale test sheets of applicable Luxman gear. This gear, delivered by this import company can be identified by a yellow sticker at the back.
And they did also a lot of advertisements in several audio magazines.

Hello folks,

Its been awhile since I've posted up here, usually just drop in to peruse for a few every now and again.

Thought I'd jump back in on this old thread with some recent pics I took of my Laboratory Reference Series gear;

• 5M21 Power Amplifier
• 5L15 DC Integrated Amplifier
• 5F70 DC Tone Control Amplifier
• 5E24 Peak Level Indicator.
• 5T50 Frequency Synthesized Tuner x 2

Regards,
Mike

It's been several years since I owned any Luxman gear and these beasts came home with me yesterday. Does anyone know anything about them? They're heavy as hell and have excellent build quality. What little I have found out is that they're 200 wpc. In bridge mode I'm thinking they'll do 800 wpc? What I'm going by is when I had a pair of adcom 555's years ago they had the same 200 wpc and bridged they could do 800 wpc. But that's where the similarities end between these Luxmans and the adcoms. The M117's are heavier, better built and they have a protection relay as well.

Luxman C-1010 -n- T-110u pre and tuner

These have the looks with the engraving.
I like the tuner with the flashing dial light, until it is tuned in, then it is solid.
Tuner also pulls in strong signal strength (with a Sony AN-300).

I haven't tried my speakers from the preamp yet, but, from my Yamaha MX-2, they sound pretty good (Marantz HD77 - ADS L-710 series II)

Using a Nakamichi BX 300 cassette, Marantz 6200 tt, Sony cdp-307esd -n- Pioneer PD-M700 cd players.
