Luxman R-117 Recap

hi...nube here...my schematic isn't that thorough.....I'm using the luxman's amp section only. Are any of the electrolytic caps you listed in the amp section in the signal path?....Secondly, based upon the block diagram it appears no other circuit board precedes the amp board for signal processing for my situation?

Just bought my first R-117 and it does indeed sound better than my wonderful R-115. But @CohibaJoe , how did the recap turn out?

I really don’t think these need recapping yet, except for the two smaller power filters. Maybe cleaning if you get a sloppy one. These units weren’t even released until 1990. Probably not sold until 91-92

1990 was 35 years ago. Long past the expected life of the original caps.

My kid was a toddler in 1990. Damn, I’m getting old

I have owned and restore at least a dozen of these. They don’t need “recapping” just a touch up. The smaller power filters will benefit with mundorfs. Do what ever you want if you are OCD
