Mac Amplifier Binding Posts

I have to believe the wing nut shaped ones are the most user friendly and probably the most mechanically sound. I agree, Mac would have a tough time putting those on given the terminal density on the panel. But surely they can improve on what they have. The WBT types on my old Krell integrated were easy to tighten and they were about the same size as the current ones on the Macs.
 
I think this is a job for Audio Classics. Find a retro fit for the top screw down nut. Something that has some sides to it and excepts a "T" shaped tool or key from the top. So one could tighten each post one at a time.
 
As far as barrier strips go, SignalCable uses spades that work nicely and appear to be of high quality.

I once tightened the spade connector on my 8ohm tap so hard that I had to use a small wrench to force the lock opened. Problem is that the whole terminal got somewhat loose. Nothing happened to the soundquality, but the issue shows up the next time Im about to lock the spade back, the whole terminal spins with.. Anyone know if the terminals are screwmounted so I can lock it solid tight as the other taps?
 
For barrier strip connections, I removed the screw and inserted binding posts with 6/32 threads on them. Crank them down tight, and I use a banana plug on the speaker cable. Works fine, and is completely reversible.
 
Granted, I don't do alot of unit swapping with my audio system. But this issue doesn't even come close to the top of my complaint list.
