All I can say is try it and see what happens. I pulled mine out completely and it got loud, but it sounded bad. I remember extremely boomy 150ish hz bass. I had been meaning to try higher values but just haven't gotten to it. Not been spending much time in the workshop lately. No AC out there and its kind of a sweatbox in the summer. It also seems that any time we have a day where its not an oven, I've got something else to do.
