Magnavox cd player display not working

Hello, I recently got a Magnavox cd2000-bk22 cd player for cheap, and everything on it works fine except for the display. Whenever I use the player, only the 'track' light comes on. I've taken it apart and examined everything I can access but I can not find any glaring issues.
I also can't find any manuals or documentation of this model online, so I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of how to fix it the display.

Thus you checked on any solder cracks in circuitry to and on the display solder / 'leads' itself?

I can only see one side of the pcb but it all looks good on this side.

Try cleaning the ribbon connectors between the front display panel and PCB with contact cleaner.

I've modified a couple of Magnavox CDB492/CD2000 CDps and they seem to share the same Philips chassis as the Grundig CD8150 at HifiEngine.com
