Magnavox Tube Amps - Pics

I'm guessing it's not a Magnavox, I would suggest starting a new thread with the title something like "Tube amp ID help" the resident tube gurus should be able to help identify the amp. If you have any additional pictures that might help too.

Here's my 8802. The chassis is poplar stained with Minwax walnut stain. I cut it with a Stanley Miter Box kit from Lowes.

Obin :)

I've tried to stain poplar with walnut stain, and it always seemed to come out a weird greenish-tint, that I was never happy with. Yours, somehow, looks a lot more like what I WANTED that to look like!

Regards,
Gordon.

I have this magnavox but don't know the model. Can anyone assist?

The one possibility I can think of, is that maybe that's an Ampeg musical instrument (bass guitar, probably) chassis. They were once made by Magnavox (Ampeg, at one time, was a division of Magnavox).

The fact that it has six 6550 tubes on it, kind of harks to the design of the Ampeg SVT. Though, I can't find a picture of any SVT chassis with that exact tube layout.

Regards,
Gordon.
