Magnovox Phono Console

I've had trouble getting a chassis hot enough to solder grounds to them, but you can just rivet or bolt a terminal to the chassis.
 
Just found a brand new 9 pin socket out there too. It's not the phenolic looking stuff, but the hole spacing is the same. In the picture above, the tan socket on the right, does that ground piece from the center to the mounting hole serve a purpose ?

These are nice sounding amps. I did mine a few years ago following the thread here-

My amp is the 8601 model, I had to add the volume control- Alps 100k

I'm working on another one of these. Only this time I'm replacing the el84's for 12bh7's (re-wiring the sockets). The result is a mind-blowing 1 and 1/2 watt single ended triode stereo amp with sound close to a 45 se.

At least I have something to build off of now from those high voltage caps.

Yeah, those nice wrap around bases make me want to do the same.

This tool was the 14.99 I've spent in a while.

Put in the new socket and cleaned up a few other things, now I hope I get all the resistors right.
