Man...Do I Love This AT150MLX!

read the reviews I think it's the wrong stylus being sent to people.

Oddly, the reviews under Amazon's AT150mlx replacement stylus page seem to cover a wide range of styli, not just the 150mlx; as a matter of fact, MOSTLY not the 150mlx.

I just posted this on another thread- Amazon currently has the replacement for $155...cheapest I've ever seen it.
I purchased my cartridge and a replacement stylus from Zzounds. If your unfamiliar with them they mainly sell musical instruments, recording equipment, etc. But they do have a few of the AT cartridges. They're great to deal with, and they beat any competitors price. You just click on the link to request a lower price on the items page, and provide them the competitors name and the link to Amazons webpage with their price and they sold me one for 153.95 + free two day shipping.
I've purchased several guitars, amps, and recording systems over the years and they have always given me a great deal...and most times if I call and ask if they can give me a better price on something they will.
Plus they have them in stock and will ship today. Amazon's site says it will ship in 1-2 months.
I just thought I'd mention them as an alternative.

I ordered the styli on Amazon for $155. The confirmation email states it will arrive between May 18 to June 15.

Hopefully the order can be fulfilled.

Yep, like others have said, the reviews are for all replacement AT styli. This is typical Amazon review format. When you read reviews for music CDs/LPs, computer hard drives of different storage capacities, items with different color choices, etc, Amazon will group all the reviews on one page. Basically, if you have more than one option at the top in the item description, you will have multiple product variation reviews.

OK, after finding the mounting screws (thanks to vincei) I remounted the cartridge on another headshell...re-adjusted it...and now it sounds even better than before!

It's riding just a little on the low side, but I think I'll leave it here for now. I have the VTF set to 1.52 and the VTA set at .4.

OBTW - due to the "weight" of the metal body, I mount mine with SOAR wires, aluminum screws (only) and the lightest headshell I can get. That way I'm not running the counterweight all the way out back so the leverage and inertia are contained and tracking is improved :)

"Usually ships within 1 to 2 months." - Sounds like they order as needed from the manufacturer, who may or may not be discontinuing them. I wouldn't hold my breath.

If you are talking about TurntableNeedles.com (TTN), they clearly state that it's on a waiting list. I suspect AT is back-ordering retailers ...

Broc, read my quotes. TurntableNeedles are the ones who sold me a bulk 440. Amazon is the one with the 1-2 month wait. I quoted each statement and don't see where the confusion comes from.

I received my MLX 150 stylus from Amazon today. I ordered it as mentioned in my post above for $168 - tax included.

The 440/120 body with the 150MLX stylus is an excellent combination. If you want a lighter body with specs closer to the 150MLX there's a newer model 5V. This looks like the old Signet body style and has 360mH inductance. The 150MLX is 350mH. The 5V has lower resistance/impedance and some people think this sounds better. It comes with a bonded spherical stylus and costs $100 at Lp Gear.

A few years ago I bought an ATN150MLX from Turntable Needles. It came in a generic plastic box not the cardboard AT outer box with plastic insert. It seemed to be a genuine 150 stylus, but wasn't inserted securely in the generic box and was bouncing around in there. It worked, but I wasn't happy with the shipping.
