Man...Do I Love This AT150MLX!

I think I've finally found the perfect match for my turntable...the AT150MLX.

It has all of the sound quality I've been looking for in a cartridge/stylus combo. It has just a great sound stage...just the right mix of highs, mids, and lows that make the music come to life.
I've only had it a couple of weeks, but the more I listen to it, the more I love it.
And for the money...I don't think there's any that can touch it. But, that's only my opinion. ;)

These are really pretty cartridges; bet they sound as good, too. Almost went with one but it's on the verge of being too heavy for my table's arm so I passed in favor of its lower end sibling.

I have the ATN150MLX styli on my AT440MLa body. Great sound, large sound stage and very micro detailed. BTW, my table is a new Technics SL1210MK5 (NIB, NOS). An excellent combination.

Great when you find the sweet spot. looks as though you may benefit from a thicker platter mat to get that tonearm a bit flatter.
Thanks, I do believe that the tonearm it does need to be raised about 1-2mm. I keep going back and forth with this particular setting, and sometimes you have to step away and give your ears a rest in order to hear the subtle changes in sound.

I was wondering...did all of you who purchased one of these receive the mounting screws, screwdriver, etc with your cartridge? Mine didn't come with a packet like thought it would.

Here's mine. I think it came with mounting screws....I don't remember having to get out my stash to get it mounted.

The cantilever on this cartridge is crazy small. I should probably buy a replacement now while there are still some left.

Yes it comes with screws brush and wires. Look under the cardboard flap where the model is printed.

OK, I practically turned the box inside out, and there no where to be found. I sent an email to Audio Techinca's support team asking if they could send me the packet. I'll let you know what I get a response.

I think as far as MM carts are concerned, the 150MLX is a modern classic along side the other famous carts of the past.

This is exactly what I was considering. Glad to hear it is working for you.

Who did you buy it from? I found that Turntable Needles sold me a bulk 440 without advertising it as such. I asked them and they said they weren't required to. I'll never buy from them again and will tell as many people as possible.

You are not the only one! I had my spares out and on the table before I took another look at the packaging and thought "surely they wouldn't sell a new cartridge without hardware, would they?"

Congratulations! You're one of the lucky 10,000 today:

Sorry I should have been a little more specific, but I was at work. I've had AT cartridges for decades and they seem to like those hidden areas, LOL.

I just posted this on another thread- Amazon currently has the replacement for $155...cheapest I've ever seen it.
