Yep...Another 1......So I have been buying a few(4) 1060's when I can get these cheap (4yrs ago under a C-Note). Besides the usual Caps and Transistors....It's time to step up and RIP out the Resistors.

I will be following what I did with my other 1060...and what a Wonderful sounding unit it is:

The Main Cap will be different(would like try these) and the P400 - Tone/Pre Amp Board C401/402:

P400 - Tone/Pre Amp Board: MUNDORF EVO Aluminum + Oil Films 0.22uf/450v
Resistors: Takman REX (carbon film)

Funny how these amps grow on ya. I recently finished my second one. Always on the look out for another. :D M-lytic's sound like a good idea for number three. :lurk:

Where did you source the Takman's? I used them in a 300B SET build. I found all the values I needed for it but noticed the values were a bit limited where I bought them.

P600 Loudness, Tape Monitor and Mono

Resistors: Takman REX (carbon film)

Next Up...P700 Power Amplifier....Once this is rebuilt I will be powering up the unit to test.

Hi Joe,
Just regarding the P800 board, did you replace all caps with same value?
Cheers
I have asked the Gurus here a while back....C803 is the same value as C804-C806 are bumped up.

C803 - 470uf/63v
C804 - 220uf/50v
C805 - 470uf/50v
C806 - 220uf/50v

So Cool! I have had 2 Marantz 1060's in my life and loved them and could kick myself for selling them. Have you seen the black face plates on eBay. A friend got one a few months back.

Hi, Thanks for sharing,

I am also recapping a 1060 I got for my bedroom system. Would you mind to explain how did you wire the Jensen and M-Lytic 4 pole caps?

Thanks!

Thanks.....Jensen is a 4 Pole and I need to search for the Link that someone had done.

Pat...Would you have this for 1060?

P700 Power Amp board is de-soldered...

Thank You Pat, I have been postponing the big power cap installation, I am confused with the wiring sequence...

Got one 1060 for my bedroom and matted with vintage Polk Audio Monitor 5 recapped with Clarity ESA caps, these integrated amplifiers are sweet. I also have a 2270 paired with vintage SDA Polk's on my living room, the bigger relative is in a different league, but I am not sure what I prefer. :music:

Will take a look
