Marantz 1090

Pawn shop has a 1090 in nice cosmetic shape; they will take $140. Good price? Experience with this amp? Nice sound?

I picked one up at a yard sale last Saturday for $40.00. It's a nice unit. Sounds very good but isn't built as well as my 1060. At $140.00 there are probably better Marantz to be had

I disagree regarding the sound. For $140 at current market price, not including what can be had under the umbrella, the 1090 happens to be one of my favorite sounding Marantz product. I had all the little receivers and was not impressed by them.

At $140 you can certainly do worse as well, if you're patience enough, of course you can do a lot better. But, at $140 I think that is a fair price.

I wasn't able to get back to the pawn shop on Saturday. Not sure if it will still be there, but I will try to check this week...and offer less than their bottom line.

I have the 1050 and its a nice little integrated that I use for headphones and ipod.

On that auction site they have been selling for between $132 and $200 on average and that's with a global audience.
I think that you could offer them less and see if they take it.
